Map animations

Tell the builder which spritesheet row is which move.

The nine moves

A widget understands nine behaviors. You map each one to a row of your spritesheet:

  • Idle — default row 0, 6 frames at 7 fps
  • Run right — default row 1, 8 frames at 13 fps
  • Run left — default row 2, 8 frames at 13 fps
  • Wave — default row 3, 4 frames at 7 fps
  • Jump — default row 4, 5 frames at 10 fps
  • Failed — default row 5, 8 frames at 7 fps
  • Hover — default row 6, 6 frames at 8 fps
  • Running — default row 7, 6 frames at 11 fps
  • Review — default row 8, 6 frames at 7 fps

Rows and frames

Rows count from zero at the top of the sheet. Frames is how many cells of that row to play, from the left. If your sheet has fewer moves, point several behaviors at the same row.

Preview and test

The builder's website preview plays the move you select. Hover the pet to see its hover move, drag it to see it walk left and right, or focus it and use the arrow keys.
